AGM & Dinner Dance and the
International Historic Motorsport Show
Everyone was delighted to welcome our Honorary PATRON, Derek Bell OBE
to the dinner on Friday night and also to our stand during the
day.
Derek was kind enough to
present the Club driver of the year awards.
These are for overall performance during the year and were presented
to David Mercer 1st, Nigel James 2nd and Duncan McKay 3rd.
The whole evening was one where everyone could enjoy
good company, good food and drink and GREAT rock music from Don Law's
Roadrunner band.
Thanks also to
Andrew Smith for the loan of his Ecosse and Gary and John Pearson for taking it
to and from the show.

Autosport
International, 12 - 15 January 2006
The Club again had a super stand at Autosport
International and it was noticable that it has now become a meeting point for
serious racers! Many thanks to Penny for enduring five whole days and grateful
thanks to several club members including Duncan and Val McKay, Chris Randall,
David Mercer & Henry Pearman. A special thank you to Richard Oddie and
Linzi Smart for giving Penny so much support on Thursday and
Friday.
The four cars looked great and we would like to thank Barry
Wood, Thierry Boue, Nick Rini, Penny, John and Gary Pearson and Phil Stott
helping with transport.
We had
many interesting visitors including Howden Ganley and, shown below, Robbie
Stirling and his son Dean. Robbie came 2nd in C2 in 1989 and 3rd in C2 in 1990
driving the Spice he is standing next to. |
