by Jim & Penny Graham. Hugely historic workhorse, ran 4 times at Le Mans
and at many European events after being purchased in 1986 and run until 1990 by
the late Roy Baker. In 1987 the car entered Le Mans and completed 139 laps
before a gearbox failure ended its race. Competed again at Le Mans the
following year with a striking pink livery of 'Pink Pages' where it was
christened the "Pink Panther" and finished 23rd overall with
Allison/Heynes/Andrews. Finished 29th at Le Mans in 1990 after being updated to
GC289 specification with Simmiss/Fenwick/Postan behind the wheel. The car has
been subsequently fitted with a 3.5 Cosworth DFZ. |
